This is based on the best photo I never took. I saw this soldier in 2010 while cycling on Cuba with my family.  I found the combination of military outfit, miniskirt, fishnets and a very colourful umbrella very intriguing. Obviously, I didn’t dare to take a photo. The way the lady looked at us suggested she might actually consider shooting us if we dared. So this is based on my blurred memory and some web research. I’m still considering painting her, if only for the bright colours of the umbrella. What do you think?
