Fabian Rosenkranz

I’m a sculptor living and working in Wendland, Germany. I’m also spending a lot of time and working in Somerset, England.

Most of my work is for sale. I’m happy to take commissions.

Contact me.

Born in West Berlin roughly 20 years before the wall came down, I fell in love with comics and graphic novels when growing up. In the mid nineties I attended a course at the London Cartoon Centre. Back in Berlin I started to use computers and worked in 3d animation for more than 20 years.

Coming to sculpting rather late in life I am working with all sorts of clays and plasters. I developed a technique to treat unfired clay with linseed oil that allows it to naturally conserve and protect the clay while creating a very beautiful and tactile finish.

Throughout my career the human in all its variations has always been the main focus of my work. Depicting the human form, the body’s mechanics, motions and dynamics in the pursuit of capturing emotion. Or simply to tell a story.
